Our work is rooted in a legacy of innovation. Before Medi-Cal reimbursed for doula services, Hatch Community helped demonstrate what was possible by securing one of the nation's earliest county-funded community doula programs. That pioneering work laid the foundation for a new generation of community birth workers. Love's Pathway proudly carries that legacy forward by preparing doulas, strengthening organizations, and advancing community-rooted birth equity.

We exist because communities deserve more than services.

Our framework descends from one of the first county-funded community doula models in California, developed years before Medi-Cal reimbursement existed. It is built on community and why those relationships matter more.

We teach providers, and organizations how to earn trust and build rapport before delivering services. We are helping providers and organizations develop Birthworkers who don't simply enter the field—they help transform it.
