PIONEERS
EXPERTISE
Built from a Legacy, Designed for What’s Next!
Our Lineage
Our work is rooted in a legacy of innovation. Before Medi-Cal reimbursed for doula services, Hatch Community helped demonstrate what was possible by securing one of the nation's earliest county-funded community doula programs. That pioneering work laid the foundation for a new generation of community birth workers. Love's Pathway proudly carries that legacy forward by preparing doulas, strengthening organizations, and advancing community-rooted birth equity.

Building Communities, Not Just Programs.
Integrity of Community before programs and compliance.
We exist because communities deserve more than services.
Our framework descends from one of the first county-funded community doula models in California, developed years before Medi-Cal reimbursement existed. It is built on community and why those relationships matter more.
We teach providers, and organizations how to earn trust and build rapport before delivering services. We are helping providers and organizations develop Birthworkers who don't simply enter the field—they help transform it.
Our Framework
-

Lived Experience
The people closest to the challenges are often closest to the solutions.
We honor lived experience as expertise while pairing it with professional standards and evidence-informed practice.
-

Whole Person Care
Birth does not happen in isolation.
Families need support that acknowledges trauma, housing, mental health, parenting, relationships, economic stability, and community connection.
-

Sustainable Workforce
Supporting families begins with supporting providers.
Burnout prevention, healthy boundaries, mentorship, and business sustainability are integrated throughout our model.
-

Leadership That Grows
Our vision is not simply to graduate Birthworkers.
It is to develop leaders who mentor others, strengthen organizations, and transform systems for future generations.
